By downloading, installing, or using the Alarme mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Service Description
Alarme is designed to assist users in building reliable waking habits through scheduled alarms, cognitive challenges (e.g., Visual Pattern), physical walking challenges, timers, and stopwatches.
2. Health & Physical Safety Disclaimer
Safety Warning: The Walking Challenge feature requires physical movement immediately after waking up. Only enable this challenge if you are physically fit and capable of walking safely. Ensure your bedroom and hallway are well-lit and unobstructed to avoid tripping hazards.
Alarme is a routine habit tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to treat, diagnose, or manage sleep apnea, severe insomnia, or any clinical sleep disorder. Consult a physician for chronic sleep complaints.
3. Alarm Reliability & Limitations
While Alarme utilizes exact alarm system scheduling APIs (Android AlarmManager with wake locks), we cannot guarantee that an alarm will fire under all circumstances. We are not responsible for missed alarms resulting from:
- Battery depletion or power outages
- OEM-specific aggressive background battery-killer task managers
- Muted phone volume or activated "Do Not Disturb" system overrides
- Device restart where device security requires passcodes before storage is unlocked
Alarme is provided on an "AS IS" basis. We are not liable for any missed appointments, transport, or professional consequences.
4. In-App Subscriptions (Alarme Pro)
A. Free Trial
Qualifying users may receive a 7-day free trial of Alarme Pro. You may cancel at any point during this trial period through the Google Play Store without incurring any fee.
B. Billing & Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to renewal. Payments are billed directly to your Google Play account.
C. Cancellation Instructions
- Open Google Play on your Android phone.
- Tap your profile avatar in the upper right.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select Alarme and tap Cancel Subscription.
5. Intellectual Property
All source code, designs, UI elements, mascot graphics, audio tracks, and branding associated with Alarme are the exclusive property of the Alarme development team.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms shall be governed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
